MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

We are seeking to add experienced Mechanical Engineers to support our team.

Responsibilities:

• Generating new mechanical specifications and update current specifications

• Communicate with other engineering disciplines

• Prepare basic designs, detail designs, engineering deports, calculations and analysis

• Prepare basic design and/or engineering reports when requested

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards

• Prepare and manage material take-offs and requisition packages

• Provide direction to piping/pipeline designers

• Review piping drawings/plans, pipeline drawings/plans, alignment sheets, and crossing drawings

• Prepare engineering calculations and reports for the following (based on experience or role):

  • Stress Analysis

  • Transient Analysis

  • Pump Calculations

  • Pipeline sizing and wall thickness calculations

  • Piping wall thickness calculations

  • Code Evaluation

  • Equipment sizing

  • Material specifications

Skills / Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in EPCM is an asset

• Knowledge of the following codes: ASME, API, and Canadian Codes is essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others

• Strong attention to detail

• Previous experience in Pipeline and Pipeline facilities would be an asset

• Previous field experience in an operating facility or construction would be an asset

• Previous experience in mineral mining projects would be an asset

Software:

• Experience using 3D AutoCad or equivalent is an asset

• Autopipe, Ceasar II, NozzlePro, Abacus experience is an asset

• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
